Product Details
ADNAMS' SOUTHWOLD STRONG ALE NUT TRAY was made in England by Diamond Print Ceramics by license from Adnams' Ale. It is a reproduction of an early advertising design used to advertise one of their products. Microwave and dishwasher safe. The earliest recording of beer being brewed on their site was in 1345 when Johanna de Corby and 17 other ale wives were charged by the manorial court with breaking the assize of ale. In 1872, George and Ernst Adnam, with help from their father, purchased the Sole Bay Brewery. In 1880, George left the company for South Africa where he was eventually killed by a crocodile. In 1890, the company name had officially been registered as Adnam and Company Ltd. It continues to operate today on the same site in Southwold on the Suffolk coast. 2 TRAYS AVAILABLE.
