Alchemy Carta Ltd. is a British design and production company established in 1977. There are several companies under the Alchemy Carta Ltd. umbrella but
they are best known in their roles as Alchemy of England and Alchemy 1977.
Alchemy 1977's creative work is based on a fantasy art theme and is derived from mythology, occult lore, history of the Dark Ages, Medieval and Victorian history. Running through their designs is a story line frequently associated with a legendary, skeletal character known as "The Alchemist". The Alchemist's distinctive skull and the Black Rose are original trademarks of Alchemy 1977.
All of Alchemy's products are conceived and designed in England. They are copyrighted by Alchemy Carta Ltd. As copyrighted designs, they should not be
used for any commercial purpose without the express permission of Alchemy Carta Ltd. Contact may be made through www.alchemygothic.com.
A large part of Alchemy's product line is made from English pewter. Pewter, like silver, may tarnish, but it can be easily polished using a brass or silver polishing cloth. Pewter should never be exposed to saltwater as it can corrode. The metal used in the manufacture of all Alchemy 1977 products is the highest grade 92% tin alloy. Alchemy Carta Ltd. is an esteemed member
of the British Association of Pewter Craftsmen.
