Catales, Inc. is a non-profit, no-kill organization consisting of volunteers dedicated to improving and enriching the lives of homeless cats and kittens. Through foster homes, Catales provides food, medical care and temporary shelter for felines awaiting adoption. They also provide for cats with special needs such as those with aids, diabetes or feline leukemia.
Catales' volunteers spend a lot of time caring for cats in feral colonies in the area around Middletown, Connecticut. The feral cats are humanely trapped, vaccinated, and spayed/neutered. After a recuperation period, most are released back into their feral colonies and a small number are adopted out. Catales, Inc. provides small shelters and daily food for each feral colony location.
The most challenging yet rewarding task of the volunteers at Catales is to find safe, loving, responsible and permanent homes for the cats and kittens it takes in. Potential parents must complete an adoption application and pay a tax-deductible adoption fee. This helps to offset some of the cost of care given prior to an animal's adoption from Catales, Inc.
In order to help defray some of the huge expenses incurred by Catales, all proceeds from sales of the products in Guy's Corner for Catales on The Best of Europe site go directly to Catales, Inc.
