| JEWELED CROSS Company was started by James S. Brennan and his brother-in-law, Frank LeClair. Mr. Brennan, an Irish immigrant, designed and crafted the first "jeweled cross" in 1923. This cross was a 16" crucifix set with over 1,300 rhinestones created for the funeral of a religious sister. Many requests for copies of the cross were made and the company called Jeweled Cross was born. For forty years the cross remained in the possession of a religious convent. Today it is displayed at the Jeweled Cross Company in Massachusetts. All products including crucifixes, patron saint medals and statues, jewelry, wall plaques, key rings and Christmas items are copyrighted by Jeweled Cross. Most are made from pewter and precious metals. |
