FILIGREE SILVER DOUBLE LEAF PIN, STYLE #1 was handcrafted in Spain. Between the jagged Sierra Morena and the ocean lies Spain's southern region of Andalucia. The ancient lost kingdom of Tartessos (the "Tarshish" mentioned in the Bible for its fabulous treasure troves of silver) once thrived here due to rich ore deposits found in the Sierra Nevada. This piece comes from the master craftsmen of Cordoba who inherited the legacy of filigree work. The style of the work reflects the Arte Mudejar style originally brought to Spain by The Moors. The pin measures approximately 2" long x 1.25" wide. It contains more pure silver than .925 sterling and has a silver/white appearance. As with all silver, it will eventually tarnish and can be easily cleaned in silver dip. Piece comes with a story card. ONE AVAILABLE.
