Product Details
This GREAT PLAIN DOG ORNAMENT was handcrafted in Hungary of felted wool from sheep. The wool is first soaked in soapy water and mashed to a pulp. Water is pressed out of the material by hand until the wool is flattened to the desired thickness. The process used to create the design is handcut reverse applique which is a combination of hand and machine work. It is the result of an intricate process of machine sewing from the reverse side of the fabric followed by the cutting out of the top layer of felt with tiny scissors and other special tools. This technique produces finished products without seams. Ornament measures 4" high x 3.50" wide. TWO AVAILABLE.
