"THE IRISH DANCER" COVERLET was created from an original painting by Courtney Davis. The history of Irish dance evolved from the earliest religious rites of the Druidic Gaels who danced in honor of the sun. By the mid-1500s, there were dances known as the Trenchmore, the Rinnce Fada, and the Irish Hey as well as various jigs and sword dances. The coverlet is approximately 50" x 60" with fringe on all four sides. Triple-woven in the U.S.A. of 100% cotton. Machine washable, pre-shrunk and color-fast. Packaged with artist/design information.
