"THE LINDISFARNE LION" PEWTER PENDANT NECKLACE was designed by Courtney Davis. In The Lindisfarne Gospels, evangelists Mathew, Mark, Luke and John are depicted as a man, a lion, an ox and an eagle. These four symbols correspond with the four fixed signs of the zodiac used to describe sun position during Celtic fire festivals. St. Mark, under the sign of Leo the Lion, has Lughnasad, the feast of the Celtic sun god Lugh. The lead-free pewter pendant is on a 30" leather cord. Packaged with artist/design information. Made in U.S.A.
